APPS TO KNOW ABOUT

APPS TO KNOW ABOUT

This month we are going to suggest some apps that might be helpful with your grocery shopping.  It could be that you don’t have time to go shopping but need to buy some food. If you are not feeling well then you could have it delivered to your home.  Maybe you just hate shopping all together.  Well, we are not only going to suggest some apps that you can have your groceries delivered but maybe save you some money.  We even have other apps that will deliver food to you from your local restaurants.

Let’s start with the apps that will help you find out what stores have the best deals in your area.  One of them is Flipp. This app has most of your weekly ads that you usually find in your Sunday newspapers.  It is not only tells about the good deals in your neighborhood but lets you create a shopping list.

The app Out of Milk helps not only helps you create a shopping list but can keep track of when you already have in your home and what you paid for them in the past.  This apps also has the weekly ads from the stores in your area.

Next are the apps that will help you save some money.  First is the apps that you will get cash back just by redeeming products that you buy at your local stores or online.  This money can go straight into your Paypal or Venmo account.  If you don’t have either of those then they will send you some gift cards to spend at those same stores. It is similar to a coupon the only difference is you don’t have to cut them out from the newspaper. You just scan your receipt and product’s UPC code.

Most stores have apps too. These apps not only have digital coupons but connect you to their curbside or instore pickup or home delivery service. They can even help find items that are located in the store. Now if you don’t want to download the app to your phone you can just go to their website and do the same thing as you would on the app.

Kroger or Ralphs apps have digital coupons, Clicklist (their curbside delivery) and delivery through InstaCart.

Safeway, Vons apps also has digital coupons, drive up and go and delivery. Alberstons which is apart of the Safeway company does have home delivery but it is through Instacart.

Sprouts is similar to Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods.  They have delivery is through Instacart.  Their app does have digital coupons.

If you can’t afford to join Costco or  Sam’s Club you can always shop at Smart and Final. It is the same type of store but you do not need a membership card.  They now have an app.  On their app are digital coupons. Their home delivery is through Instacart.

Target's coupons are called Cartwheel and when you check out give your phone to the cashier so they can scan the barcode on their app.  You can also order items online and pick it up in the store.  This is better than having it delivered by mail. You don’t have to worry about your packages being stolen.

Walmart has their Savings Catcher program. This is their price matching program. How it works is that when you come home from your store you scan your Walmart receipt. If they find an item that is cheaper somewhere else they will give you an eGift Card.  Walmart now has a grocery delivery service as well as a pick up service.  Check with the website to see which stores in your area offer this.

Amazon now has grocery delivery but not in areas.  Check on the website to see if it is in your area.

Here is a list of some other grocery delivery services.

Then there are those delivery services that will bring you food from restaurants.

You may use Yelp to check out reviews of places you want to go but did you know you can also use it to order food?

Don’t forget to follow your favorite stores on social media.  They sometimes put coupons for extra saving on the sites.  Make sure it is the verified social media page.  To find them just go to their official websites and follow the link to their Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
