As you may know, Frozen is a very popular Disney movie from 2013. This movie is based on Hans Christian Anderson’s fairy tale “The Snow Queen.” This movie tells the story of two sisters Elsa and Anna who find out what true love is.
The movie begins many years earlier and we see Kristoff as a young child working with the ice harvesters and Sven by his side. They are singing "The Frozen Heart (Ice Worker’s Song)."
In the Castle, young Anna (Livvy Stubenrauch) goes to wake up her sister young Elsa (Eva Bella). Elsa doesn't want to wake up then Anna mischievously asks her, “Do you want to build a Snowman?” This wakes Elsa up and the sisters run downstairs to an empty room. Elsa uses her powers to turn the room into an icy wonderland so Anna can play. They build a snowman named Olaf. Anna is running and jumping in the snow drifts when she falls and passes out. Elsa calls her parents who are angry that she used her powers and Anna got hurt. Their father King of Arendelle (Maurice LaMarche) tells their mother Queen of Arendelle (Jennifer Lee) that he knows where to bring her and races to get a book then races off to go get help.
Young Kristoff and Sven are outside when they see someone racing by. He follows them. The King brings his daughter to The Valley of the Living Rock. The King is holding Elsa while the Queen is holding a still unconscious Anna. What seems like rocks start rolling foward and turns into Trolls. Kristoff who is watching in the distance is in amazement when the rocks turn into trolls. One is near him and it’s name is Bulda (Maia Wilson). This troll like Kristoff and wants to take him home with her. Then down below Grand Pabbi (Ciarán Hinds) appears. He is honored that the King came to them for help. He tells the king that he can help Anna. That thankfully it wasn’t her heart that was hurt just her head. He removes the memory of Elsa’s powers from Anna. Elsa’s powers are getting stronger and could harm someone if she doesn’t learn to use them correctly. He says that fear is her enemy.
Back at home, they have let some of the staff go and won’t let Elsa use her powers. Anna doesn’t remember that Elsa has them. Anna is confused why Elsa doesn’t want to play with her anymore. Elsa is scared she will hurt someone with her powers. She doesn’t leave her room. Her parents give her gloves and tell her to calm down so her powers won’t work. Anna keeps trying to get Elsa to talk her. She keeps asking if she want to build a snowman. We watch as the girls grow up and grow more distant. When the girls are older their parents go on a boat trip and don’t come back. Each girl grieves in their own way.
Many years pass since their parents have died. It is now time for Elsa (Idina Menzel) to take her place as Queen of Arendelle. This means that the doors to the castle will be open to the public for coronation day. Everyone wonders what the girls look like now. The servants go to wake up Anna (Kristen Bell) and she is half asleep then suddenly she sees her gown for the day and remembers what day it is. She leaps out of bed and gets dressed in a hurry. She is excited to meet all the people for she has been locked up and lonely for years. She is sings “For the First Time in Forever” and runs around the town. Meanwhile, Elsa is scared to meet everyone but will put on a brave face and she will be the good girl and hide her powers. As Anna is running around she runs into Hans (Santino Fontana) and his horse. Anna slams right into the Horse. She falls back and lands in a small wooden boat. It tips off of the dock. She’s heading overboard. But just then, the horse slams his hoof into the boat and steadies it. They introduce each other and Hans is worried he will get into trouble for hurting the Princess but she assures him she won’t. They seem to have chemistry between them. Hans helps out of the boat. Anna hears the bells for the ceremony and runs off. Hans who still in the boat falls back and into the water.
At the coronation ceremony, there is a choir singing. Elsa is standing at the podium with Anna and the Bishop (Robert Pine). Anna is looking at the audience and sees Hans and waves to him. The Bishop performs the coronation ceremony. He crown Elsa then hands her the orb and scepter He tells her she needs to take off her gloves and she is hesitant but she does and tries to calm herself down so she doesn't freeze them. When they begin to freeze she puts them down. Then the ceremony ends.

At the party they introduce Queen Elsa and Princess Anna. Anna is unsure that she is allowed to stand near her sister. They talk to one another and this make Anna happy that her sister is talking to her. They compliment each other on how they look then they look at the crowd and Elsa says, “So, this is what a party looks like.” Anna says, “It’s warmer than I thought.” Then they both take a deep breathe and like what they smell. They both smell chocolate. Then Kai (Stephen J. Anderson) introduces them to the Duke of Weselton but he says it as Weaselton and not the way it really is pronounced as Weselton. The Duke (Alan Tudyk) corrects him and ask Elsa to dance but she says no and tells him to dance with her sister. He really tires out Anna with his funny way of dancing. Elsa tries not to laugh as she is watching them. He dips Anna and tells her that they call him the little dipper. Elsa can’t help but laugh. Anna limps back to Elsa who asks how Anna is. She says she will be okay. Anna says she wishes it could be like this all the time. Elsa says it can’t. Anna tries to find out why but Elsa only gets mad. Anna stops away and trips on the dance floor only to have Hans save her. They go for a walk.
Anna and Hans find a place so they can be alone to get to know one another better. He tells her about his 12 brothers and how 2 pretended he was invisible for 2 years. Anna knows how that feels. She tells him that she and Elsa were close when they were little but then something happened and she doesn't know why Elsa just pushed her away. Hans and Anna realize they have something in common between them and start falling in love. They sing “Love is an Open Door.” Hans ask her to marry him and she says yes. They got back to the party to Elsa to ask for her blessing of their marriage. Elsa says no because Anna just met Hans and doesn't want her sister to get hurt. Anna is mad and wants to know why her sister shuts everyone out. Elsa shuts down the party and tells everyone to leave and for them to shut the gate. Elsa begins to walk out and Anna grabs her and gets her glove. Elsa is scared and asks for her glove back. Anna says no she wants answers. Elsa points her hand to ask for the glove once again only ice comes out. This scares everyone. The Duke says she is a sorcerer and that must be the reason the gates were closed all these years that she must be a monster. Elsa runs out and finds herself in the crowd. She tries to get away and goes to the fountain but it freezes scaring everyone outside. She then goes to the water and it freezes so she crosses. It begins to snow and everyone is scared of it. The Duke keeps saying how Elsa is a monster that she almost killed him. Anna says no that the Duke only slipped on the ice. She says Elsa is scared and that is why she is running away. The Duke asks if Anna has these powers too. Anna says no she is just ordinary. Hans says that is right and then says in the best way. Anna says she will go after her sister and asks for her horse. Hans doesn't want her too but she says she has to. She leaves him in charge and goes to find her sister.
Elsa is high up in the snow filled mountains. She sees she is alone and that her secret is out. She doesn't care anymore what people will say. She is singing iconic song, “Let it Go” She is glad that people know and doesn't have hide it. She doesn't care she will be alone because, “cold never bothered her anyway.” She has built herself a castle in the mountains and will be the Queen there.
Anna is on the mountain trying to find Elsa. As she is riding the horse a branch on a tree snaps and startles the horse making her fall off and it runs away leaving her stranded. She begins to walk in the cold and wishes that Elsa powers would turn everything to sand instead of snow. Anna sees smoke coming from a chimney and goes towards it. She comes upon the “Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post” and goes in and the owner is sitting at the desk that is Oaken (Chris Williams) he tells her about their summer sale. She asks if they have any winter supplies or boots. He points to the lone pair. Then this snow covered man comes in. It turns out to be Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) He takes the rope and wants to take some carrots but Anna is standing in front of them so he tells her in his own way to move. Oaken says, “A real howler in July, yah? Where ever could it be coming from?” Kristoff says it is coming from the North Mountain. Anna repeats that to herself because she now knows where her sister is. Oaken tells him that it will cost $40. He says he only has $10. Oaken says that going to be a problem because there has been a real demand on these winter products. Anna says that is real bad. Oaken offers to through in some time in the Sauna. Kristoff says no and asks that he help him out by giving it to him for less. Anna interrupts and asks if what is happening on the North Mountain seems magical. Kristoff answers her and says yes and to stop bothering him while he deals with the crook. Oaken gets mad and stands up and he is taller than Kristoff. He takes Kristoff and throws him out of the store. Kristoff lands near Sven and breaks the news that he has nothing for him but a free place to spend the night.
They go into the barn. Kristoff starts singing to Sven the reindeer how ”Reindeer(s) are Better than People”. Just then Anna comes into the barn. She tells him how it was a nice duet. She tells him she wants him to take her to the North Mountain. He is rude and says he doesn’t take people anywhere. She then throws him the bag with his supplies or a rope and pick ax. He tells her they will go in the morning and she forgot the carrots for Sven. She throws over another bag with the carrots. She tells him they will leave now.
Anna, Kristoff and Sven leave to go to the North Mountain to see if Elsa is there. Kristoff asks Anna why Elsa left. Anna tells him that she got angry that Anna was engaged to someone she just met that day. Anna tries to continue to tell him about Elsa taking her gloves off and finding out about Elsa’s secret but Kristoff interrupts because he agrees with Elsa that it was wrong for Anna to marry someone she just met. Anna still doesn't understand. Kristoff tries to explain but then hears something in the distance. It is wolves who want are about to attack them. Anna wants to help but he doesn't let. This doesn't stop her. She helps him fend off the animals. Then they come to the end of the mountain and she gets on Sven and he jumps. Kristoff is on a rope at the end of the sled. They jump. The sled doesn't make it and Kristoff says as sees it fall that he just finished paying for the sled. Kristoff is holding onto the other side of the mountain when Anna throws him a pick ax and Sven pulls him to safety. They argue and she leaves. He tells Sven that is the last time he will help someone. Then he talks with Sven who convinces him to help Anna. This way he will get a new sled. He goes to help her.
The gang starts to walk and it is now daylight. Anna looks back to see Arendelle. Kristoff sees that is all frozen over. Anna says it will be okay once they find Elsa. She asks and points if that is the way to North Mountain. He then shows her it is straight up. Anna, Kristoff, and Sven walk beneath frozen willows. The hanging branches glisten like Christmas lights. Sven knocks them with his antlers. They tinkle like chimes. Suddenly a voice comes out of now where. A happy snowman comes out to greet them. They are frightened by him because snowmen don’t normally talk. Anna SCREAMS! Reflexes take over and she kicks Olaf’s head, sending it flying off his body and into Kristoff’s arms Kristoff’s arms. This doesn't stop him from talking. Kristoff throws the head back to Anna. The snowman begs Anna not to hurt him. They are amazed that he keeps talking. Anna puts his head on but upside down. To him he thinks they are standing the upside down like bats. Then she puts his head on the right way. He thanks her. She goes into Kristoff satchel and gets a carrot for the snowman’s nose. She puts it on to far. He likes it because he never had a nose before. She then fixes to make it bigger. He then introduces himself. His name is Olaf (Josh Gad) and he tells them he likes warm hugs. Olaf opens his arms wide to Anna. That triggers a memory. It takes her a moment to place it, but then she does. She remembers him from her childhood. He asks who she is and she tells him He asks, “who’s the funky-looking donkey over there?” and thinking Olaf means the reindeer she says his name is Sven but Olaf really was asking who Kristoff was. Then Olaf asks who the reindeer is. They all look confused. Then Sven tries to eat Olaf’s nose but Olaf thinks he is trying to kiss him. Curious, Kristoff takes one of Olaf’s twig arms off, studies it. It seems to be moving in sync with his other arm. Then it slaps him. Anna asks Olaf if he knows where Elsa is. He says yes and will show them but wants to know why. Anna says it’s so she can bring back summer. Olaf starts telling them how much he would like summer. That he has never seen summer. Sadly he is oblivious to the fact of what it would do to him. He starts to tell them what he would do if it was summer. He sings “In Summer” When he is done telling them he says he will show them where Elsa is so she can bring back summer. Kristoff asks Anna if he can tell Olaf the truth about what will happen to him if it is summer. Anna says no. They go off to find Elsa.
