One thing to remember before you cook your turkey take the giblet package out from the inside of the turkey.
Here are our suggestions for seasonings
1/2 cup Butter
1 tablespoon Brown sugar
1 cup Chicken Broth
Melts some butter in a saucepan with chicken broth. Add brown sugar in it. Injects it into the turkey so the flavor gets into the Turkey and helps keep it moist. Cover the turkey with foil while it's cooking so the top doesn't brown before the rest of it is done. We keep the saucepan of butter/broth on very low heat the whole time, and every so often we take the foil off the turkey and baste it. When the turkey is done, these drippings make for fantastic gravy.
