Tomato Chicken in a Pot
INGREDIENTS
4 Chicken Breast (Cut the Chicken Breasts in Half or Quarters Your Choice)
4 or 5 Idaho Potatoes (Cut in Small Pieces)
1 Package Green Beans Cut & Ready
1 Onion
1 Package (12 Oz) of Peeled Baby Carrots
Ketchup (To Thicken)
2 Cans Tomato Sauce (No Salt Added) (8 Oz Can)
Water
Lemon Juice
Lime Juice
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Cooking Spray
INSTRUCTIONS
(1.) Defrost Chicken.
(2.) Rinse chicken, then cut them into smaller pieces.
(3.) Spray the stock pot with cooking spray.
(4.) Next place the onions in the pot. Cook the onions till it becomes translucent.
(5.) Place chicken in pot
(6.) We suggest that you cut the potatoes in little pieces because it will make it cook quicker. Add the potatoes to the pot.
(7.) Now add the green beans and the carrots.
(8.) Then put in 2 cans of tomato sauce. Then fill up the cans with water and put that in too.
(9.) Then add ketchup. You know when the ketchup bottle gets low and it doesn't come out this is what you could use it for. Fill the bottle half way with water and cover it again and shake and add that to the chicken too.
(10.) You may need to add some more water to the pot till cover everything that is in the pot.
(11.) Then add seasoning to your taste. We like garlic and onion powder. We also like to add a dash Lemon and Lime juice to cut off the bitterness that some spices leave.
(12.) Cook on High till it boils. Then put in on low and cover it with the cover slightly a jar. If you cover it tightly it will continue to boil. You need at least 4 to 5 hours to cook it or till vegetables are soft.
Note: If you will be having vegetarian or someone with allergy to chicken at your dinner you will want to cook the potatoes, carrots and green beans in a separate pot. If you cook them separately then they can enjoy the veggies too.
