Our 3rd Anniversary Time for a Friends Get Together

Our 3rd Anniversary Time for a Friends Get Together

March is when we celebrate our 3rd anniversary of writing our blog, “Advice from Rose and Lyssa Marie.” We hope you have enjoyed reading the blog as we have had writing it. Thank you for sharing our journey with us.

This month we thought would be a good time for you to have a friends get together.  Catch up and relax.  Have  them over for a movie night a nice comfort food dinner.  An easy dinner would be  Pasta, Beef, Tomatoes and Green Beans.  If you are a vegetarian you can use a either Gardein Beefless Ground, Lighlife Smart Ground Original or Yves Veggie Original Veggie Ground Round instead of ground beef.  This is so easy and quick to make.  For dessert another easy dish would be a Homemade Pazooki or Cookie Sundae

The movie we thought would be good to watch with friends is the movie Beaches.  Either the 1988 version with Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey or the current 2017 Lifetime remake of Beaches with Idina Menzel and Nia Long.  You can watch both and compare the two movies.  Whichever one you want to watch or choose a movie of your own.

What ever you do we hope you have a good time.

Here is the recipe for the Pasta, Beef, Tomatoes and Green Beans:

INGREDIENTS
1 Box Medium Pasta Shells
1 Pound Ground Beef or 1 Bag Beefless Ground
1 Can of Diced Tomatoes (No Salt Added)
1 Can of Green Beans Cuts (No Salt Added)
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Lemon Juice
Lime Juice
1 tablespoon Margarine (Unsalted)
Pam Cooking Spray

DIRECTIONS
(1.) Make the pasta in a pasta pot according to the directions on the package.

(2.) Spray a skillet with Pam.

(3.) In a skillet brown Ground Beef then drain the extra fat.

(4.) If using the Beefless Ground use 1 tablespoon of unsalted margarine.  This is also a substitute for the fat of the beef and make a thicker sauce. You place the margarine in the skillet before you place the beefless ground.

(5.) Place diced tomatoes in the skillet on top of the beef or beefless ground and mix it together.

(6.) Place Green Beans in skillet and mix it with the beef or beefless ground.

(7.) Add the Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Lemon and Lime Juice to taste and stir that to the tomatoes, green beans and beef or beefless ground.

(8.) Now add pasta to everything in the skillet and mix all together.

(9.) Cook until warmed then serve.
